Martin was born in 1970 and started to play golf at the age of 13, late by today's standards! In 1995 and after a successful amateur career in which he was a key member of both the Dorset and South West Counties teams, he turned professional and has since dedicated himself to becoming a leading coach.

Martin Cummins In the last twelve years, Martin has earned an enviable reputation for being a forward thinking coach who likes to apply himself 100% to all his pupils regardless of age or skill level. His skills and dedication to all his pupils has resulted in him being appointed Head Professional at Canford Magna Golf Club in Dorset. As Head Professional at one of the largest golf complexes in England, Martin had to apply all his skills and expertise to create one of the largest and most respected junior golf schools in England. Around 300 children come to see him or one of his eight teaching professionals each and every week of the year. A significant achievement by anyone's standards and one that he is rightly proud of.

On an individual level players Martin coaches have won national and regional titles, as well as success on the European Tour.

With the success Martin was having with his pupils, Dorset County Golf Union asked him to become Head County Coach which he duly accepted. In recent years, Dorset have earned themselves a reputation for being a tough but fair team and many successes have included playing in the English County Finals, and to win the 2006 South East League (South). Dorset Ladies Golf Association have now also appointed Martin as their Head Coach and immaediately guided them to success.

Throughout his career, Martin has always had a special interest in putting. Over the years and after much dedicated and time consuming research, Martin has developed a set of user friendly and highly effective ways to develop his pupils putting techniques. Without doubt, one of his strengths is his ability to communicate his thoughts and ideas to all golfers with the sole aim of making them much better putters. Demand for Martin's time as a putting coach continues to grow from both the amateur and professional ranks alike.

Knowing the importance of teaching aids to enhance pupil inderstanding, and correct practice, Martin developed the 'PuttStation' putting aid. The 'PuttStation' has become a huge success with over 110 European Tour professionals now using the product. In 2007 alone 9 'PuttStation' users have won on the European Tour.
